INSTALL MAC OS X LION

BEFORE INSTALLING MAC OS X LION

Your BIOS must be configured in-order to get the installer running. Press Esc when the machine boots up, and select Enter Setup in the menu that appears.

Under Advanced tab, select SATA Configuration. In that, make sure that SATA Mode Selection is set to AHCI. If not, then change it to AHCI. 

Under Security tab, select I/O Interface Security. Change the Audio Interface option to Lock. This is a work-around to prevent the Installer getting stuck before it completely loads.

INSTALLING MAC OS X LION

These items are required to create the Installer:

• USB Flash drive, size not less than 8GB
• A machine running at least Mac OS X Snow Leopard
• Install Mac OS X Lion.app purchased from Mac App Store

Follow tonymacx86's Unibeast method to set up the Installer on the flash drive and install it on to the system.

BOOTING FOR THE FIRST TIME

On the first boot, you might get stuck at a screen which says connect your keyboard to proceed, even though you have that keyboard on your laptop. To get going, just plug-in a USB keyboard and continue. You'll notice that now the original keyboard also works! You may plug-out the USB keyboard anytime now.

POST INSTALLATION

Just seeing the Mac desktop on your machine is not enough. Now you need the drivers for the peripherals to get them working. To make your job simpler, I've developed an easy to use installation package which is a compilation of kernel extensions and other files that are patched to run with ASUS X43SJ.

When installing for the first time, check all the options in the ASUS X43SJ Installer, and run. Alternatively, you may click on 'Standard Install' button.

After that, run tonymacx86's Multibeast with the following options checked:

Reboot the system. That's it, you're done!
